Ismaily SC is setting a strong tone ahead of the new Egyptian Premier League season by securing experience between the posts and cracking down on player conduct during their preseason camp in Borg El Arab.
The club has officially extended the contract of veteran goalkeeper Ahmed Adel Abdel Moneim for another season, keeping him at the club until summer 2026. The 38-year-old, who joined Ismaily in 2021 after spells with Al Ahly and Misr El-Makkasa, was keen to continue, especially with the backing of head coach Miloud Hamdi and his technical team.
While Ismaily celebrated continuity in goal, they acted swiftly on a disciplinary matter involving forward Marawan Hamdy. The player was spotted training in a Pyramids FC jersey during a session with the rival club. As a result, the coaching staff sidelined him from team activities and ordered him to train alone.
Ismaily is currently deep into preseason preparations and will play three friendlies as they gear up for the league campaign. The team is determined to maintain focus and professionalism throughout their camp.
