Wydad Athletic Club to hold 10-day pre-season training in Türkiye ahead of 2025/26 season
Wydad Casablanca has become the first Moroccan club to confirm its pre-season training destination, following a request from head coach Mohamed Amine Benhachem.
The club’s board of directors has approved a 10-day training camp in Türkiye, scheduled to kick off in the third week of July.
As part of their preparations, Wydad will play a series of friendly matches against Turkish clubs, with details of their opponents yet to be disclosed.
After wrapping up their training in Türkiye, Wydad will travel to Qatar to face Al Sadd in a friendly match on August 10, before returning home to Morocco to finalise preparations for the upcoming campaign.
The decision to back Benhachem with this pre-season programme follows the club’s show of confidence in the coach, despite Wydad’s underwhelming performance at the recent FIFA Club World Cup, where they finished second from bottom.
