Ahmed Abdel Kader’s time with Al Ahly appears to be coming to an end, as the winger edges closer to sealing a move to Saudi Arabia.
The winger is set to join Al-Hazem, who recently earned promotion back to the Roshen League.
After spending last season on loan at Qatari side Al-Gharafa, Abdel Kader returned to Al Ahly this summer but could be on the move again, this time permanently. Saudi outfit Al-Hazem submitted an official offer to the Egyptian giants in recent days, proposing either a loan or full transfer.
However, with Abdel Kader declining to extend his contract, which runs out next season, Al Ahly are now prepared to let him go.
An inside source at Al Ahly told Kooora exclusively, “The situation will be finalized within hours, after Al Ahly notified the player’s agent of its approval. Al-Ahly officials are therefore awaiting direct negotiations to sign the contracts, especially since Al Ahly will receive $600,000 from the final transfer.”
All signs now point to Abdel Kader starting a new chapter in the Saudi top flight.
