Senegalese international Nicolas Jackson has emerged as a transfer target of Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid.
Other reports in Spain also indicate that FC Barcelona are monitoring the attacker’s situation at Chelsea and could swoop in this summer.
According to reports out of Spain, both La Liga clubs have identified the 24-year-old as a possible addition as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
Jackson’s future at Chelsea appears uncertain following the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, who have both pushed him further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
The striker has endured a turbulent run in recent weeks, receiving two red cards in his last five appearances for the Blues.
His form has also dipped, managing just four goals since the start of 2025, three of which came in the Europa Conference League.
In Chelsea’s Club World Cup semi-final clash against Fluminense, Jackson started on the bench and was overshadowed by Joao Pedro, who netted a brace in the 2-0 victory.
When introduced, Jackson failed to make an impact and squandered a key opportunity by opting to shoot rather than pass to the better-positioned Cole Palmer.
From all indications, it appears Jackson may have lost his place in the Chelsea starting eleven and a move away from the club this summer looks more likely to happen.
