Forward Relebohile Mofokeng’s father, Sekhba Mofokeng claims his son is ripped to play for either Real Madrid or Barcelona.

The 20-year-old attacker has been at the center of intense transfer speculation following an impressive campaign for Orlando Pirates. Meanwhile, his next move remains uncertain.

Mofokeng performed admirably for Orlando Pirates in the recently concluded campaign, scoring five goals and providing eight assists in 26 appearances in the South African top-flight.

Speaking in an interview, Sekhba Mofokeng hinted about his son’s imminent departure from Orlando Pirates while claiming he is ripped to play for Real Madrid or Barcelona.

“Why shouldn’t he leave? He’s done everything he needed to do here. Now it’s time for a new challenge — a new league, new people, new pressure. He can play anywhere — even for Barcelona or Real Madrid. He’s not afraid. He just needs a chance,” said Sekhba Mofokeng.

Meanwhile, the attacker has emerged as a top transfer target for Israeli outfit Maccabi Haifa, who are keen to secure his services this summer.

The Israeli club are keen on strengthening for the upcoming football campaign, and Mofokeng, who is in the books of Orlando Pirates has emerged as a priority target.

With Israel currently at war with Iran, Mofokeng’s potential transfer to Maccabi Haifa could hit a snag.
