South African outfit Orlando Pirates have expressed a strong interest in Bulgarian attacker Jaisen Clifford in the ongoing transfer window.

Pirates are in the market searching for quality players as they seeks to make impact next campaign following a trophyless run last term.

Clifford’s current contract with the Bulgarian club runs out on June 30, giving Orlando Pirates a slight edge to capture his services.

The South African giants have handed the attacker a trial opportunity, where the coaching staff will be able to assess his abilities. He is expected to travel to Spain to join the club’s pre-season training.

He will be added to the Soweto giants’ ranks if he managed to impress at the preseason training.

The forward spent last season on loan at Sportist Svoge in Bulgaria’s second division, where he scored 7 goals in 32 appearances. The player’s transfer value is estimated at around 100,000 euros.
