South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns have reportedly secured the services of DR Congo international Fiston Mayele.
Mayele has been a subject of interest for several clubs following an outstanding performance in the just ended football campaign.
The 29-year-old attacker played a pivotal role last term, contributing to the Egyptian outfit’s historic CAF Champions League triumph. He scored nine goals to emerge as the topscorer in the 2024/25 campaign.
According to reports, Sundowns have finalized details to sign Mayele out of his contract at Pyramids FC heading into the new campaign.
The attacker is expected to sign a three-year contract with the Brazilians, with Pyramids receiving €2.2 million for their 30-year-old forward.
During two seasons in Egypt, Mayele scored 41 goals for Pyramids. Last season, however, his attacking output dipped: he registered six goals and two assists.
