Burkina Faso international Alain Traoré is set to make a comeback for Lorient after three months of absence due to injury. Speaking on the club’s website, Traoré expressed his excitement about rejoining the team and his eagerness to play in Ligue 1 again.
“I am very happy and delighted to be reunited with the group. I can’t wait to play in Ligue 1 again. In 2013, I haven’t yet tasted the competition. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. The injuries are behind me. It’s now up to me to get back into the rhythm of the competition,” Traoré said.
He discussed the challenges of dealing with injuries and the desire to have a full season to confirm his abilities. Traoré acknowledged the difficulty of the situation but is optimistic about the remaining two months of competition, mentioning the Coupe de France and securing a good place in the championship.
Regarding the upcoming match against Lille, Traoré emphasized the significance of the game against a strong opponent. He acknowledged some uncertainties due to the lack of playing time but expressed his hope to contribute positively to the team’s performance.
“It’s a big match. Lille is a very good team that likes to possess the ball. U.S. too. I think it will play football and there will be a spectacle. Concerning myself, I always have a few small questions since I am lacking playing time. I am not going to deny it. I hope to live up to the event and the rest of my teammates,” he added.
