Al Ahly have shaken up their squad with a strategic exchange deal that sees three players exit the club while two new names arrive to bolster the team ahead of the new season.
After intense overnight negotiations, Al Ahly president Mahmoud El Khatib reached an agreement with Mohamed Abu El Enein, the president of Ceramica Cleopatra, finalizing a swap deal on Friday morning.
“Al Ahly had previously loaned Ahmed Ramadan Beckham from Ceramica, but under the new agreement that was concluded, Al Ahly will sign the player permanently, in addition to signing left-back
, permanently as well,” a club source told Kooora.In return, Ceramica have secured three additions from the Cairo giants.
“Ceramica acquired the services of three players from Al Ahly as part of the deal: Ahmed Abdel-Qader and Khaled Abdel-Fattah, permanently, and Karim El-Dabbas, on a one-year loan,” the source added.
This move signals Al Ahly’s intent to refresh their lineup with solid defensive options, while Ceramica benefit from a mix of youth and experience in key areas.
