South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs are closing in on the acquisition of Aris Limassol attacker Mihlali Mayambela in the ongoing transfer window.
The Soweto giants are keen on bolstering their squad for the new campaign following an inconsistent performance in the Premiership, with Mayambela emerging as a top target for the club.
Mayambela is open to a move to Kaizer Chiefs this summer, as he considers the club as his preferred destination.
According to reports, negotiations between Kaizer Chiefs and the 28-year-old attacker is currently underway, with the move far advanced.
During the 2024/25 season in Cyprus, Mayambela made 23 appearances for Aris, finding the net four times and delivering five assists.
He joined the Cypriot outfit in 2022 and has since been an integral member of the club. Despite having a contract until 2026 summer, the enterprising attacker could depart the club and make a return to home country.
