South African international Percy Tau has opened up about the possibility of making a return to the South African premiership this summer.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion star is, at the moment, unattached after recently parting ways with Qatari SC.
Tau severed ties with Qatari SC this month following a short spell in the Asian country. He is now available to join any club on a free transfer.
Speaking in an interview, the experienced attacker declared readiness to make a return to the South African Premier League, saying he is open to joining any club in the country provided there is good offer.
“I’ll listen to anyone, including Orlando Pirates or even Stellenbosch, SuperSport United. I’m not excluding anyone. My decision will depend on who offers me a contract. Of course, I still love Sundowns, but ultimately, it will come down to who puts an offer on the table, because at the end of the day, I still have to provide for my family. So just because I love a club doesn’t mean I’ll stay for any offer,” Tau stated.
During his stint in Doha, Tau featured in nine Qatar Stars League matches, providing four assists without scoring a goal. The eight-time league champions struggled in the just ended season, finishing in a disappointing 10th position in the league, just one spot above the relegation zone.
