Clubs confirmed for 2025–2026 Ligue 2 campaign in Tunisia
A total of 28 clubs have been officially confirmed to compete in Tunisia’s Ligue 2 for the upcoming 2025–2026 season.
The finalised list, released ahead of pre-season preparations, features a broad representation from across the country, bringing together both established names and emerging sides vying for promotion to the top flight.
Among the confirmed clubs are EGS Gafsa, US Tataouine, and CS Hammam-Lif, all teams with notable histories and aspirations of returning to the elite division.
The complete lineup for the 2025–2026 season includes:
EGS Gafsa, US Tataouine, Mégrine Sport, AS Kasserine, Jendouba Sport, OC Kerkenah, ES Hammam-Sousse, Sfax Railways Sports, CS Korba, PS Sakiet Eddaier, CS Hammam-Lif, BS Bouhajla, CS Msaken, CS Redayef, AS Ariana, AS Jelma, Kalaa Sport, Olympique Sidi Bouzid, EM Mahdia, CS Chebba, SC Moknine, Stade Gabésien, SA Menzel Bourguiba, AS Agareb, SC Ben Arous, US Boussalem, US Ksour Essef, and ES Bouchemma.
These teams will compete under the current two-group format, which was implemented in the 2024–2025 season and will continue into the new campaign.
Under this structure, the clubs are split into two groups of 14, allowing for a more manageable league system while maintaining competitive balance across the regions.
This setup is expected to heighten regional rivalries and offer opportunities for lesser-known clubs to make their mark.
With promotion to Ligue 1 on the line, clubs will aim to build strong squads and prepare thoroughly in the weeks ahead to ensure a successful campaign.
As in recent years, promotion and relegation will be at stake, with the top teams from each group targeting automatic promotion or playoff spots, while those at the bottom will fight to avoid the drop to the third tier.
The 2025–2026 Ligue 2 season promises to deliver high-stakes football and the possibility of surprise contenders.
With traditional clubs looking to reclaim their status and ambitious sides seeking to rise through the ranks, competition is expected to be fierce across both groups.
Preparations are now underway as clubs gear up for the new campaign, which will kick off later this year with fixtures to be announced in the coming weeks.
