English-Ghanaian forward Eddie Nketiah has helped Crystal Palace to annex their first major trophy after triumphing over Manchester City in the FA Cup finals.

Nketiah, who recently declared his intentions to switch allegiance to play for the Black Stars made substitute appearance as his outfit triumphed over Manchester City at the Wembley Stadium to annex the trophy.

The 25-year-old was introduced in the 78th-minute mark, replacing Jean-Philippe Mateta in the highly competitive clash on Saturday evening.

Eberechi Eze’s early strike was enough for the Eagles to snatch victory over Manchester City, deepening the woes of Pep Guardiola’s outfit this campaign.

Having missed out on the FA Cup title, Manchester City will have nothing to show at the end of the current season.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are expected to participate in the UEFA Europa League next season following their FA Cup success this season.

Nketiah made four appearances in the FA Cup competitions this season, scoring two goals and delivering an assist. In all competitions, the 25-year-old has 34 appearances, scoring five goals and providing three assists.

He joined Crystal Palace last summer from Arsenal, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.
