Dortmund’s Sporting Director Lars Ricken rules out Jamie Gittens’ departure; insists player wants to stay

Sporting Director of Borussia Dortmund, Lars Ricken, has rubbished transfer rumours linking talented Jamie Gittens with a move away from the club.

According to him, all the transfer speculations are false.

He insists that Jamie Gittens is happy at the club and wants to continue playing for the Yellow and Black outfit.

“We are often together with the finance department and calculate what will happen if we don’t play in the Champions League or even the Conference League. Gittens identifies 100 percent with the club, I have the feeling that it is often said that he is on the move and that is definitely not the case,” Lars Ricken said on Sunday on Sky90.

While this is expected to please the Dortmund fans, it will not put an end to the transfer speculations.

Chelsea and Arsenal are said to be interested in the forward and will make a formal bid in the summer transfer window.
