Manchester United prepared to table €70m bid for Cameroonian forward Bryan Mbeumo

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to launch a €70 million bid for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo following the Cameroonian forward’s outstanding campaign in the Premier League.

With the Red Devils struggling for consistency in front of goal, club officials are said to be actively exploring options to bolster the attacking line ahead of the new season.

Mbeumo, who has shone for Brentford throughout the current campaign, is believed to be high on their list.

The 25-year-old has registered 18 goals and 7 assists in 38 appearances this season, drawing attention not only for his finishing but also for his link-up play and tactical intelligence.

His performances have helped Brentford remain competitive in the top flight and have earned him widespread praise from pundits and scouts alike.

According to a report in The Telegraph, United are now ready to act decisively in the transfer market, preparing a substantial €70 million offer in a bid to secure Mbeumo’s services.

The Cameroonian international, who came through the ranks at Troyes before joining Brentford, is under contract until 2026, giving his current club a strong position in negotiations.

Mbeumo’s form this season has coincided with Brentford’s continued development under manager Thomas Frank. Known for his relentless work rate, sharp movement, and eye for goal, the forward has become an integral part of the Bees’ setup.

However, with interest from one of the Premier League’s traditional giants, Brentford may face a significant challenge in retaining him.

For United, who have struggled to find a consistent attacking formula this season, Mbeumo represents a potential solution. His ability to operate across the front line provides tactical flexibility, while his numbers offer a clear upgrade in output.

With uncertainty surrounding several attacking players at Old Trafford, the Cameroonian could be the kind of injection the squad requires.

Mbeumo, who has also impressed on the international stage for Cameroon, appears to have reached a point in his career where a move to a bigger club could be the logical next step.

His progression in England has been steady and impactful, and the current speculation suggests that he is now viewed as a player capable of delivering at the highest level.

Despite the growing interest, there has been no official comment from Brentford regarding the reported offer, nor has Mbeumo made any public statements on his future.

However, with the transfer window approaching and clubs beginning to shape their summer strategies, developments around the forward’s next destination may unfold quickly.

As Manchester United continue their search for greater potency in attack, Bryan Mbeumo has emerged as a clear target—one who could soon be stepping out under the lights of Old Trafford.
