English Premier League side, Manchester United have assigned scouts to keep tabs on France forward of Cameroonian descent, Hugo Ekitike.

As reported by Africasoccer early this week, the Manchester-based club has joined the race for the signature of the talented forward.

Information gathered indicates that Manchester United have tasked scouts to be in the stands to watch Hugo Ekitike on Friday night when he features for France U21 in their games against England U21.

Hugo Ekitike has been a sensation for Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga this season.

So far, he has scored 19 goals for the club in all competitions and could even score more.

Besides Manchester United, Hugo Ekitike is a transfer target of several European clubs. He is expected to leave Frankfurt in the transfer window but the German club will only allow his transfer for the right price.

His future will become clear at the end of the ongoing football season.
