West Ham lead race to bring English-Nigeria Tammy Abraham back to the Premier League

IMG 8179

English striker of Nigerian descent Tammy Abraham is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs for a potential return to England.

Abraham joined Roma from Chelsea in 2021 and moved to Milan on a season-long loan in August 2024.

At AC Milan, Abraham has faced challenges in replicating his earlier form, scoring eight goals in 34 appearances across all competitions this season. Milan, currently ninth in Serie A, is reportedly not planning to make his loan move permanent.

This situation has opened the door for Premier League clubs to express interest in the 27-year-old forward.

West Ham United has reportedly initiated discussions with Abraham’s representatives and is considered a leading contender for his signature. Other clubs, including Wolverhampton Wanderers, Nottingham Forest, and Everton, are also monitoring his situation.

Abraham’s tenure at Roma began positively, with 27 goals in his debut season, contributing to the team’s UEFA Europa Conference League triumph under manager José Mourinho.

However, a significant anterior cruciate ligament injury limited his appearances in the 2023-24 season.

With AC Milan unlikely to pursue a permanent transfer, Abraham is expected to return to Roma at the end of the season. Given that he is not in Roma’s long-term plans, a move back to the Premier League appears plausible.
