Fenerbahçe are reportedly closing in on the signing of Guinean winger Salifou Soumah from Zira FK, with negotiations progressing positively between the two clubs.
The Turkish giants are said to be leading the race to secure the 21-year-old’s services, despite competition from Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia. According to reports, Fenerbahçe are prepared to meet Zira FK’s €800,000 asking price for the in-form forward.
Soumah has been a standout performer in the Azerbaijan Premier League this season, registering eight goals and four assists in 22 appearances.
His blistering pace and dribbling skills have caught the attention of several clubs seeking attacking reinforcements.
This is not Soumah’s first brush with Turkish football. In 2021, he signed for Kayserispor but left without making an appearance following a contractual dispute, which led to FIFA imposing a two-window transfer ban on the club.
However, the current situation appears more promising, with Fenerbahçe eager to bolster their attacking options.
If the deal materialises, Soumah could finally make his long-awaited debut in the Turkish Süper Lig.
Both clubs are expected to finalise discussions in the coming weeks as Fenerbahçe look to complete the signing ahead of the summer transfer window.
