We will go into the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations to win it – Egypt forward Mohamed Mostafa

Mostafa Mohamed confident as Egypt sets sights on 2025 AFCON title

Egypt forward Mohamed Mostafa is confident the Pharaohs can win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

According to him, although Egypt respect all the countries that will be in Morocco for the tournament, his country will be aiming for the ultimate prize knowing that they have the quality to do so.

“We can’t judge any team in the tournament and say that this team is big or small because there are many African players who are professionals abroad, and if we rely on the name of our team only, we can lose.

“Maybe there are teams that people look at as weak, but we as a team look at them very respectfully because our goal is to lift the trophy,” Mostafa Mohamed told beIN sports.

The 2025 African Nations tournament will be held in Morocco from December 21 to January 18, 2026.

Egypt is in Group A and will compete with South Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe.

The Pharaohs just like every other AFCON tournament, will be heading into the tournament as one of the favourites.
