German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund are reportedly preparing to sell talented youngster Jamie Gittens.
The England-born forward with African roots has been one of the most exciting wingers for the Germans in the 2024/25 football season.
Jamie Gittens, 20, was absent from Dortmund’s starting lineup in their commanding 6-0 win over Union Berlin and the 2-0 victory against St. Pauli, making only brief appearances in the closing minutes of both matches.
Maximilian Beier and Karim Adeyemi are currently preferred in the pecking order, with reports suggesting it is because they have outperformed the 20-year-old in recent weeks.
Since Dortmund’s 4-2 defeat to Holstein Kiel on January 14, Jamie Gittens has failed to register a goal or an assist. Frustrations have been mounting, and tensions boiled over during the club’s 2-0 loss to Bochum, where he clashed with the ultras after being substituted.
Sources have indicated that there is some friction between Jamie Gittens and some officials of Dortmund.
The club has now taken a decision to sanction the transfer of the forward and will listen to offers before and during the summer transfer window.
