Senegalese forward Ousmane Sow has completed a move to Polish top-flight club Górnik Zabrze after an impressive first half of the season with Lierse SK in Belgium’s Challenger Pro League.
The 24-year-old, who registered four goals and eight assists in 19 appearances, attracted significant interest during the transfer window.
Lierse, currently sixth in the Belgian second division, confirmed his departure on Wednesday, with Sow signing a two-and-a-half-year contract with Górnik Zabrze.
The transfer fee is reported to be €300,000.
Sow joins a growing list of Senegalese players in the Polish Ekstraklasa, including Ibrahima Seck (Raków Częstochowa), Mbaye Jacques Ndiaye, and Christophe Simon Diédhiou (Motor Lublin).
At Górnik Zabrze, he will play alongside former Germany international Łukasz Podolski, as the club aims to strengthen its attack in pursuit of a strong league finish.
Having previously played for AC Arles and AS Furiani in France, Sow has continued to develop his game across Europe.
His move to Poland presents a fresh challenge as he looks to make an impact in the country’s top division.
