Senegalese defender Saliou Ciss has signed with Entente Feignies Aulnoye, marking his return to competitive football after more than a year without a club.
The 35-year-old, who had been without a contract since 2022, will now play in France’s National 2, the fourth tier of French football.
Ciss, a key figure in Senegal’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) victory in 2021, officially joined the club on February 6—a date that coincides with the anniversary of Senegal’s historic triumph.
His contribution to that tournament was vital, and his experience is expected to add strength to his new team.
After a long spell on the sidelines, Ciss will be eager to prove that he still has plenty to offer on the pitch.
His move to Entente Feignies Aulnoye provides him with an opportunity to regain match fitness and showcase his talent once again.
The experienced left-back has enjoyed a career spanning various clubs in France, including stints at Valenciennes and AS Nancy.
Now, with this latest chapter in his journey, he looks to make an impact at his new club while reigniting his career in professional football.
