Senegalese midfielder Moustapha Name has completed a loan move to Romanian club CFR Cluj from Pafos FC.
The 29-year-old, who was part of Senegal’s Africa Cup of Nations-winning squad in 2021, will remain with the Liga I side until the end of the season.
Name struggled for regular game time at Pafos this season, making just 11 appearances in the Cypriot top flight.
Seeking a fresh start, the midfielder now joins Cluj, currently fourth in the Romanian league, where he hopes to regain his best form.
A versatile and experienced player, Name previously featured for Paris FC in France and has earned a reputation for his composure in midfield.
His arrival is expected to bolster Cluj’s squad as they push for a strong finish in the league.
The Senegalese international will be looking to make an immediate impact as he aims to revive his club career while keeping hopes alive for a return to the national team.
