Ghana forward Kamaldeen Sulemana resumes Southampton training after injury setback
Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has resumed training with Southampton after missing last weekend’s Premier League clash against Newcastle United due to injury.
The Black Stars forward was unavailable for selection as the Saints suffered a defeat to Newcastle. Ahead of the match, Southampton manager Ivan Juric confirmed that Sulemana had sustained a minor injury, which led to his absence.
“He won’t play against Newcastle as he has a little injury. He has a little problem with his hamstring, and our medical staff are worried about that because he had problems in the past,” Juric said, as quoted on Southampton’s official website.
Now back in training, Sulemana is working towards full fitness ahead of Southampton’s upcoming fixture against Ipswich Town on Saturday, February 1.
