Ousmane Dembele scores to inspire PSG to 4-2 comeback victory against Manchester City

Paris Saint-Germain staged a sensational comeback to defeat Manchester City 4-2 in a thrilling UEFA Champions League clash on Wednesday night, with Ousmane Dembélé playing a key role in the turnaround.

City looked in control early in the second half, with Jack Grealish opening the scoring in the 50th minute, capitalising on a rebound from a Bernardo Silva shot. Erling Haaland doubled the lead just three minutes later, pouncing on a loose ball inside the box to make it 2-0.

However, PSG responded almost immediately. In the 56th minute, Bradley Barcola set up Dembélé, who finished clinically into the bottom right corner to pull one back. The momentum shifted further in PSG’s favour when Desire Doue struck the post in the 60th minute, allowing Barcola to convert the rebound and level the score at 2-2.

The comeback was completed in the 78th minute when Joao Neves rose highest to meet a Vitinha free kick, guiding his header into the bottom left corner to put PSG ahead for the first time in the match.

In stoppage time, Gonçalo Ramos sealed the victory. A VAR review confirmed there was no offside as he fired into the top right corner, securing PSG’s dramatic 4-2 triumph.

The victory strengthens PSG’s Champions League campaign, while Manchester City will be left to rue their missed opportunities after surrendering a two-goal lead.
