England winger of Nigerian descent, Noni Madueke, was on target for Chelsea on Monday night, helping the Blues secure a 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in their Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.
The Round 22 encounter saw Chelsea dominate early on, with Tosin Adarabioyo having a goal initially disallowed in the 26th minute for offside.
However, after a VAR review, referee Simon Hooper overturned the decision, allowing the goal to stand and sparking celebrations among the Chelsea players.
Despite taking the lead, Chelsea conceded just before halftime when Wolves’ Matt Doherty capitalized on a costly mistake by goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to level the score at 1-1.
In the second half, Marc Cucurella restored Chelsea’s advantage in the 60th minute, reacting quickly to a loose ball inside the box and slotting home a precise finish.
Noni Madueke then sealed the victory with a well-placed header, ensuring Enzo Maresca’s side walked away with all three points.
The win boosts Chelsea’s push for a stronger league position as they continue their campaign.
