Tanguy Ndombele is back in the spotlight, with regular first-team football once again a fixture in his career.
After a difficult spell at Tottenham Hotspur, the 27-year-old midfielder joined OGC Nice on a free transfer and has quickly become an integral part of the team.
This season, Ndombele has made 18 appearances, scoring twice and providing an assist, including a goal in a Coupe de France win over the weekend. However, his return to form hasn’t been without its challenges. The former Olympique Lyonnais playmaker has been dealing with an ongoing pubalgia issue, which he discussed candidly after his team’s victory.
“I’ve played a bit more than I perhaps should have. What people don’t know is that I have a pubalgia issue,” Ndombele shared. “I’m gritting my teeth, trying to play with it as best as I can. We’re working on the issue little by little. I’m feeling less pain but I can’t give a date to when it will go away.”
With the winter break underway, Ndombele will now have time to recover before Nice’s next match against Stade Rennais on January 3, 2025.
