Brazilian football giants Flamengo have reportedly entered the competition to secure the services of Burkina Faso striker Lassina Traoré.
The club, which finished third in the 2024 Brazilian championship, is actively exploring transfer market opportunities as it prepares for the upcoming season.
According to sources, Flamengo’s newly appointed football director, José Boto, is particularly keen on bringing the Burkinabe international to the club.
Traoré, currently playing for Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine, has drawn attention for his dynamic attacking style and goal-scoring ability, making him an attractive prospect for the Brazilian outfit.
However, Flamengo faces challenges in acquiring the 23-year-old forward. Traoré is under contract with Shakhtar Donetsk until June 30, 2026, and his market value is listed at €5 million on Transfermarkt.
Such a price tag could make negotiations complex for the Brazilian side.
As the transfer window approaches, Flamengo fans will eagerly await updates on whether the club can bring Lassina Traoré to Brazil to bolster their attacking options.
