AS FAR have received a boost ahead of their decisive CAF Confederation Cup second-leg encounter against Ivory Coast’s Korhogo, with Marvel Ndonkett expected to return after recovering from injury.

The Moroccan side will host Korhogo at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on Sunday at 20:00 local time as they battle for a place in the next round of the continental competition.

Ndonkett missed the first leg because of an injury but is expected to be available for the return fixture, providing AS FAR with an additional option as they seek to secure qualification.

AS FAR seek to capitalise on home advantage

The two teams played out a goalless draw in the first leg last Saturday in Ivory Coast, leaving the tie finely balanced ahead of Sunday’s encounter.

AS FAR will now look to make home advantage count in Rabat, where victory would strengthen their hopes of progressing in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The return of Ndonkett could prove important as the Moroccan club prepare for a match in which their continental ambitions are at stake.

Korhogo stand between AS FAR and qualification

With the first leg ending 0-0, neither side has established an advantage going into the decisive meeting.

AS FAR will need to turn their opportunities into goals against the Ivorian visitors, while Korhogo will be aiming to challenge the hosts and keep their own qualification hopes alive.

The encounter is set for Sunday at 20:00 at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
