Black Galaxies head coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, has revealed that the team has developed a strong philosophy in preparation for their upcoming match against Nigeria in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) playoffs.
The first leg of the highly anticipated encounter will take place on Sunday, December 22, at the Accra Sports Stadium, with kick-off set for 15:00 GMT.
The return leg will be held on Saturday, December 28, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Nigeria.
Ahead of the crucial fixture, Dramani discussed the team’s preparations and the philosophy they have put in place.
“First of all, a team is not just built overnight. You have to craft it carefully,” he told CAFOnline.
“We have worked on creating a strategic structure with a clear team culture that emphasizes professional communication among the technical staff, players, management, and the football association.
“We’ve developed a team philosophy aligned across all levels, focusing on defensive and attacking phases, and progressively introducing these aspects in training sessions.
“This strategic framework ensures our players and staff are well-oriented before the game,” he added.
The 2024 CHAN will be held in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. Ghana had previously triumphed over Nigeria in a penalty shootout two years ago to secure a spot in the last edition of the tournament, although they were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
