The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has finalized the draw for the African qualifiers for the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Excluding Ghana, a total of 28 African countries will compete for five spots in the tournament, which is set to take place in Morocco from October 17 to November 8, 2025.
The Black Maidens of Ghana were disqualified from the qualifiers following a ban imposed by CAF due to age-cheating allegations lodged by the Moroccan Federation after the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
The draw, conducted on December 12, 2024, revealed that 24 nations will compete in the initial round, aiming to advance to the second round where they will face higher-ranked CAF teams such as Kenya, Zambia, Nigeria, and Burundi.
The victors of the second round will then move on to the final qualification phase, where they will vie for the limited spots available for the tournament hosted on African soil.
