Teen sensation, Lamine Yamal, has been named Player of the Match after a starring performance for FC Barcelona in the team’s 3-2 win against Borussia Dortmund in the Uefa Champions League.
The fit-again forward started for the Spanish club in the thrilling clash staged at Signal Iduna Park.
The first half of the contest on Wednesday night ended in a goalless stalemate before five goals were scored in the second half.
Barcelona took the lead in the 53rd minute through a strike from in-form Raphinha after he was set up by Dani Olmo.
Seven minutes later, striker Serhou Guirassy converted a penalty kick to restore parity to the contest.
Shortly after, Ferran Torres found the back of Dortmund’s net to give Barcelona a 2-1 lead.
However, Serhou Guirassy was not done and scored again to complete his brace.
Unfortunately, Ferran Torres was also determined to get a brace and did just that with an assist from Laimine Yamal in the final minutes of the match to win the game for Barcelona.
At the end of the game, the dazzling displays by Lamine Yamal earned him the Player of the Match award.
