West Ham target Chelsea’s Tosin Adarabioyo to bolster leaky defense

West Ham United are reportedly eyeing a January loan move for Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo as they seek to shore up their struggling backline.

The Hammers have endured defensive woes this season, conceding 27 goals in just 14 games, the fourth-worst record in the Premier League.

Adarabioyo, 27, has featured in 11 games for Chelsea across all competitions but could be tempted by the prospect of more regular playing time at the London Stadium. The move could also help West Ham rebound from a disappointing start to the season, which has left them languishing in 14th place despite a €145 million summer spending spree under manager Julen Lopetegui.

Adding intrigue to Adarabioyo’s profile is his international future. Although a regular at youth levels for England, the center-back has yet to earn a senior cap, leaving him eligible to represent Nigeria through descent.

With defensive reinforcements a priority, West Ham’s pursuit of Adarabioyo underscores the urgency to salvage their season amid mounting pressure on Lopetegui to deliver results.
