VfL Bochum head coach Dieter Hecking has confirmed that Myron Boadu will not feature in their Bundesliga clash against SV Werder Bremen.
The 23-year-old striker, sidelined for nearly ten weeks due to pubic bone inflammation, recently resumed training but remains unfit for match action.
“Boadu has been training with us for a week now. But he was also out for almost ten weeks, so it’s not an issue at all for tomorrow,” Hecking stated during a pre-match press conference. This decision will see the Dutch-born Ghanaian striker miss his seventh consecutive Bundesliga game.
On August 9, 2024, Boadu joined Bochum on loan from AS Monaco. Before his injury setback, he had shown glimpses of his potential, scoring twice and providing one assist in six league appearances.
Born in Amsterdam, Boadu is of Ghanaian descent and has been tipped as a rising star. Bochum fans eagerly await his return, hoping he can rekindle his early-season form to bolster the team’s attacking options.
