Traffic advisory issued ahead of CAF champions league match between Espérance de Tunis and Djoliba Club
The Tunisian Ministry of Interior has announced a series of traffic measures to ensure smooth mobility during the CAF Champions League group stage match between Espérance Sportive de Tunis and Mali’s Djoliba Club.
The match is set to take place on Tuesday, 26 November 2024, at 8:00 PM at the Hammadi Agrebi Stadium in Rades.
The ministry has specified that vehicle movement and parking will be prohibited on National Road No. 1, in the section between the Shusha Rades intersection and the Borj Al-Wazir Al-Zahraa junction, from 4:30 PM to midnight.
Exceptions will be made only for those heading to the stadium and ticket holders.
Stadium gates will open at 5:00 PM, and fans are encouraged to arrive early.
To ease traffic flow and minimize congestion on the southern highway due to ongoing construction, supporters are advised to use National Road No. 1.
Ticket holders must present their tickets at all preliminary checkpoints, including the entrances at the highway, Wadi Melyan Junction, BSB Junction, Nobu Junction, and Shusha Rades Junction.
The ministry clarified that VIP ticket holders, journalists, and guests can access the honorary stands exclusively via the main entrance.
Access Routes for Stadium Sections:
- South Stand (Virage + Pelouse subscribers):
- Cross the southern highway, then proceed through the Al-Wazir Al-Zahraa intersection under the bridge and enter via the Zaytoun entrance.
- Use National Road No. 1 through Shusha Rades intersection, then navigate the new city roads to reach the Zaytoun entrance.
- Pass Nobu Junction, turn at the Mediterranean Village intersection, and head left toward the southern stand.
- North Stand (Tribune + Enceinte subscribers and additional ticket holders for Virage sections):
- Enter via the stadium junction, proceed through the main entrance, and turn left toward the northern stand.
- Use National Road No. 1, pass Shusha Rades Junction, then BSB Junction, and turn left at the main entrance.
- Navigate via Nobu Junction, the Mediterranean Village intersection, and turn right toward the northern stand.
The ministry urged fans to park vehicles in designated lots to ensure safety and maintain traffic flow post-match.
It also emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic laws, respecting instructions from law enforcement, and avoiding reckless or dangerous behavior.
Legal measures will be enforced against unauthorized transport or overloading vehicles.
