Today, Thursday, the Algerian national team learned their opponents for the qualifiers of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, set to be held in Morocco.

The draw, conducted by the Confederation of African Football in Johannesburg, South Africa (SuperSport Studios), placed the Desert Foxes in Group F alongside Equatorial Guinea, Togo, and Liberia.

The qualifiers for AFCON 2025 will feature 48 teams divided into 12 groups of four teams each, with 24 teams ultimately qualifying for the finals—comprising the group winners and runners-up. These qualifiers are scheduled to kick off in September.

Additionally, the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 in Morocco are set to commence on December 21, 2025, with the final match scheduled for January 18, 2026.

The announcement sets the stage for Algeria to prepare rigorously under the leadership of their coach and team management.

Each match in the qualifiers will be crucial as Algeria aims to secure their spot in one of Africa’s most prestigious football tournaments.

The draw places Algeria in a challenging group, where they will face competitive teams aiming for a chance to showcase their football prowess on the continental stage.

Equatorial Guinea, Togo, and Liberia will provide formidable opposition, each with their own strengths and strategies.
