British newspaper “The Sun” reported today that Algerian international footballer Riyad Mahrez was involved in a traffic accident in England.
The incident occurred when Mahrez’s car, an Audi RS6, collided with a white truck in the Chorley Hall Lane area on the outskirts of Cheshire, in the north-west of England.
The Sun, a widely circulated newspaper, disclosed that the accident took place on Thursday, though it did not specify who was driving the luxury vehicle, valued at £220,000.
Currently on his annual holiday in England, Mahrez, who now plays for Saudi club Al-Ahli, had just concluded the season in the Saudi Pro League.
There were no immediate reports of any injuries sustained by Mahrez or any other parties involved in the collision.
The 32-year-old winger, known for his remarkable skill and contributions on the pitch, has enjoyed a celebrated career, notably with Leicester City and Manchester City in the Premier League before his recent move to Saudi Arabia.
