Zamalek goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi ruled out of Rwanda Army second leg

Zamalek goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi has been ruled out of Saturday’s match against Rwanda Army after suffering a muscle strain, a club source has told FilGoal.com.

The Egyptian side are preparing to face Rwanda Army in the second leg of their CAF Champions League last-32 tie later on Saturday.

“Mohamed Sobhi suffered a strain in the front thigh muscle, which led to his exclusion from the squad for the Rwanda Army match,” the source said. “The goalkeeper will undergo a rehabilitation programme to prepare him to return to full team training as soon as possible.”

Sobhi has made one appearance for Zamalek since the start of the current season. His only game came against Ports of Djibouti.

Zamalek hold the advantage after winning the first leg 1-0 away from home.

The winner of the tie will qualify directly for the group stage.
