Tarek El-Ashry reveals Smouha’s weaknesses to Al-Ittihad players
The first football team of Al-Ittihad Alexandria Club concludes its preparations this evening to face its counterpart Smouha, scheduled to take place tomorrow at Alexandria Stadium, as part of the 23rd round of the Nile League competition.
Al-Ittihad Alexandria enters tomorrow’s match with 35 points, occupying the fourth position in the Egyptian Premier League table, while Smouha sits eighth with 31 points.
El-Ashry Warns Al-Ittihad Players about Smouha’s Weaknesses
Tarek El-Ashry, the manager of Al-Ittihad Alexandria, emphasized the difficulty of tomorrow’s match to his players, especially as Smouha aims to win after their loss in the previous match against ZED. This makes them strive to avoid an unfavorable outcome.
Al-Ittihad Alexandria will be without their top scorer, the Angolan forward Mabululu, due to suspension after his dismissal in their match against Al-Ahly.
However, Benjamin Boateng returns to the squad after missing the previous match against Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab due to accumulated yellow cards.
During the tactical lecture, Tarek El-Ashry focused on analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the Smouha team, derived from watching recordings of their recent league matches.
Tarek El-Ashry Withdraws Resignation
It is worth mentioning that Tarek El-Ashry has reversed his decision to resign from coaching Al-Ittihad Alexandria following a meeting with the club’s president, Mohamed Mesilhi.
El-Ashry announced his desire not to continue after defeating Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab with a goal in the 22nd round of the league due to feeling insulted following a 4-0 loss to Al-Ahly in a postponed match between the two teams.
