Togo U17 coach Maurice Noutsoudje and captain Riad have made clear their ambition to secure qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations as they prepare to begin their UFOA-B qualifying campaign against Ghana.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference at the Stade du 4-Aout in Ouagadougou, Noutsoudje said the team’s preparations had given them confidence ahead of the tournament.
“We have had a good preparation and we are relying on that to qualify,” said the Togo coach.
Noutsoudje added that the side’s main objective was to win a place at the CAN U17 2027 finals. Togo will start their campaign against Ghana on Saturday at 18h GMT at the Stade du 4-Aout.
Captain Riad also offered a positive assessment of the squad’s readiness. He said the players were prepared for the tournament and had understood the instructions given to them by their coach.
