Milan make Endrick and Goncalo Inacio January transfer priorities

Milan have identified Real Madrid forward Endrick and Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio as their leading targets for the January transfer window, according to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Serie A club are seeking further reinforcements despite spending more than 150m euros on signings during the summer transfer window. Their plans for January focus on adding a young striker and a central defender.

Milan came close to signing Inacio during the summer but were unable to complete the deal after Sporting Lisbon refused to give the move the necessary approval.

The Portugal international is understood to be open to joining Milan in January. However, Sporting Lisbon’s willingness to sell midway through the season remains the main obstacle, particularly because Inacio is the club captain.

Inacio is already familiar to Milan’s new manager Ruben Amorim. The defender played 186 matches for Sporting under the Portuguese coach.

Milan remain interested in Endrick, although they face competition from fellow Italian club Roma.

Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to consider loaning out the Brazilian forward. Any agreement could include an option to buy, alongside a separate clause allowing Real Madrid to bring the player back.

The report also says the relationship between Milan owner Gerry Cardinale and the agency representing Endrick could influence whether the player moves to the Rossoneri.

Milan are fifth in the Italian league standings with 11 points from five matches, two points behind Roma and Inter.
