Paris Saint-Germain win seventh Ligue 1 match as Luis Enrique matches Barcelona-era record

Paris Saint-Germain extended their winning run in Ligue 1 with a 1-0 victory over Troyes on Saturday, securing their seventh league win of the 2026-27 season.

The decisive moment came in the 39th minute, when Illia Zabarnyi scored the only goal of the match for Luis Enrique’s side.

The result also saw Enrique equal the best winning sequence of his managerial career. According to Opta, the Spanish coach has now matched a run of 11 consecutive victories, the same number he achieved with Barcelona between January and February 2015.

Enrique’s current run has brought him level with his own record, but Paris Saint-Germain still have some way to go to match the club’s all-time mark.

The French side won 16 matches in succession between December 2015 and February 2016, when they were managed by Laurent Blanc, according to Stats Foot.

The latest victory also carried significance in terms of Paris Saint-Germain’s league scoring record during the Qatar ownership era.

The club have scored 269 goals in Ligue 1 under Enrique, bringing him level with Blanc’s total. Paris Saint-Germain scored the same number of league goals during Blanc’s time in charge.
