Zamalek has taken swift action following a surprising decision from the Swiss Federal Court.
The club revealed on Monday that it sent an official letter to the court, asking for the reasoning behind its rejection of Zamalek’s appeal in the ongoing dispute with Jaime Pacheco, the team’s former Portuguese coach.
This move signals the club’s determination to untangle the legal mess and find a way forward.
In a statement released through its media center, Zamalek explained that requesting the court’s rationale is a standard step in such disputes, aimed at paving the way for a resolution. The Federal Court had previously dismissed the club’s challenge to a ruling that favored Pacheco, entitling him to 880,000 euros after his contract was terminated.
Pacheco, however, has stood firm, brushing off all offers from Zamalek’s board to pay the overdue amount in installments. The ex-coach insists on receiving the full sum upfront, leaving the club scrambling for solutions as it navigates this financial and legal headache.
