Young Boys land French-Guinean winger Herba Guirassy in €5m Nantes switch

France and Guinea winger Herba Guirassy has joined Young Boys from FC Nantes for €5m, completing his move to the Swiss Super League club.

The 20-year-old left winger has signed a contract running until 30 June 2030. Guirassy, who was born in Angers, made the switch on 31 August 2026 after playing in Ligue 2 for Nantes.

He made four appearances in the competition before leaving, scoring once and providing one assist. Guirassy started 75% of those matches and played 83% of the available minutes, contributing directly to a goal in 33% of his appearances.

The right-footed attacker progressed through Nantes’ youth system, joining the club’s under-17 side in 2021 before moving to the under-19 team two years later. He stepped up to the senior set-up in July 2024, making the move from Nantes Under-19.

Guirassy was part of the Nantes Under-19 side that won the French Under-19 championship in the 2022-23 season. The title remains his only recorded team achievement.

His transfer value was listed at €7m at the time of the move, while his highest recorded value was €8m. Young Boys have secured his services with the €5m deal, taking him from France’s second tier to Switzerland’s top flight.

Guirassy becomes part of a Young Boys squad competing in the Super League, with his contract securing his stay at the club through the end of June 2030. The transfer from FC Nantes to Young Boys was completed on 31 August 2026.
