Al-Ittihad fans record lowest Roshn Saudi League start in five seasons

Al-Ittihad’s difficult start to the season has been mirrored in the stands, with the club recording its lowest home attendance in the Roshn Saudi League for five years.

The Tigers initially made a strong start to the campaign, but their form has dipped in recent weeks. They drew with Abha before suffering a 4-1 defeat by Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates in the AFC Champions League Elite.

According to the programme Dawrina Ghair, only 103,215 supporters attended Al-Ittihad’s first five home matches of the current Roshn Saudi League season. It is the club’s lowest figure for the opening five home fixtures since the 2021-22 campaign.

The previous lowest attendance during that period came in 2023-24, when 128,288 fans watched Al-Ittihad at home. The figure had been 147,209 in 2022-23.

Al-Ittihad’s strongest home attendance across the past five seasons was recorded last term, when 199,657 supporters attended the club’s first five home matches. That was followed by 193,372 in the previous campaign.

The attendance figures come as Al-Ittihad occupy fourth place in the Saudi league table after 12 rounds. They are six points behind leaders Al Hilal, with both clubs having a match in hand.

The figures were reported on 20 November 2026.
