Mohamed Benchrifa has received another positive update following Wydad AC’s victory over rivals Raja Club Athletic in the Casablanca derby last weekend.
The Red Castle are set to welcome back midfielder Walid Al-Sabbar after the player successfully recovered from the injury that kept him sidelined for an extended period.
Reports indicate that Al-Sabbar is expected to resume group training sessions with the squad at the start of the week as preparations continue for the club’s upcoming fixtures.
Wydad secured an important 1-0 victory against Raja in the derby clash played on Saturday as part of the 20th round of the Moroccan Professional League “Inwi.”
The win provided a major morale boost for the side, which includes Moroccan star Hakim Ziyech, as they continue their domestic campaign.
Wydad are now preparing for their next challenge against Raja Beni Mellal in the Moroccan Throne Cup next Sunday.
