UB Conquense sign Cameroon defender Henri Claude Balla from Canon Yaounde

Cameroon centre-back Henri Claude Balla has joined Spanish club UB Conquense from Canon Yaounde, adding a 19-year-old defender to the side’s squad in Segunda Federacion Group V.

Balla completed the move on 30 August 2026 and has signed a contract with UB Conquense running until 30 June 2029. The transfer takes him from Canon Yaounde to Spain, with the 1.88m defender listed as a centre-back.

The left-footed player arrives at a club competing in Spain’s fourth tier, where he will continue his career after two seasons with Canon. Balla’s preferred foot gives him a natural left-sided option in central defence, while his height adds a clear physical profile to his role.

He joined Canon Yaounde from Olym. Yaounde on 1 July 2024, before making the switch to UB Conquense at the start of the 2026-27 season. The move to Spain is therefore the latest step in a club career that began in Cameroon.

Balla was born on 2 January 2007 and is 19 years old. His arrival provides UB Conquense with a young defensive option under a long-term agreement, with his contract extending through the end of June 2029.

The defender’s new team is competing in Segunda Federacion Group V, while Canon Yaounde is the club he represented immediately before leaving Cameroon. No transfer fee has been announced for the move.

Balla has now left Canon Yaounde after two years at the club and begins his spell with UB Conquense as a contracted member of their first-team squad. His transfer was completed on 30 August 2026, with the agreement tying him to the Spanish club until 2029.
