Trabzonspor turns Mohamed Salah’s arrival into a ‘dream’ family feast

Trabzonspor have continued celebrating the completion of Mohamed Salah’s signing by releasing a playful promotional video in which the Egypt forward is welcomed into a family home before heading to training.

Salah has signed a two-year contract with the Turkish club during the current summer transfer window. He will reportedly earn a salary of 17m euros, with a further 5m euros available through additional payments.

The video, published on Trabzonspor’s Facebook account, carries the message: “To those who say, ‘You will only see that in a dream’, dreams come true for us.”

The production begins with a woman preparing an elaborate meal in the morning. Her family appears surprised by the amount of food, but she tells them that her son is coming and says she had dreamed of the moment.

She then refuses to let the other members of the family eat anything from the table. The food is kept untouched as they wait for the person she has been expecting.

After a short time, someone knocks on the door. When the woman opens it, she finds Salah standing outside. She welcomes him by saying: “My son… welcome to your new home.”

Salah then joins the family at the table and eats enthusiastically before saying goodbye and leaving for Trabzonspor training.

The video provides a humorous presentation of the club’s latest major signing, while its slogan delivers a message to those who had suggested that the move would remain only an imagined possibility. Trabzonspor used the phrase “dreams come true for us” to underline their satisfaction at securing the Egyptian forward.

The club’s social-media post forms part of its ongoing celebration of the agreement with Salah. The transfer has been presented through a fictional household scene, with the player portrayed as the long-awaited guest whose arrival prevents the family from beginning its meal.

Salah’s appearance at the end of the video completes the story’s central idea: the dream described by the woman becomes reality when the forward arrives at the door. His departure for training then links the light-hearted advert to his new professional role with Trabzonspor.

The agreement covers two seasons, with the financial package consisting of the 17m-euro salary and potential bonuses worth another 5m euros. The promotional film does not add further contractual details, instead focusing on the welcome staged around the signing and the club’s message to its critics.
