Despite rumors about a possible departure, Adebayor dismissed those talks, emphasizing a strong team ethic and targeting a top-four Premier League finish.
His statement—“I play for Tottenham, we are a team. I don’t think about my situation. For me, the goal is to finish the season in the top four”—shows a mature, collective mindset. Scoring 11 goals in just 21 league games the previous season, the Togolese forward clearly still had plenty to offer.
Adding to the sense of stability, Adebayor told The Sun that he appreciated Pochettino’s approach and coaching philosophy, which further suggested he was in no rush to leave and felt confident about his role in the squad.
