Saudi club Al-Nasr has decided to summon Senegalese football star Sadio Mané to its squad currently in the United Arab Emirates for a crucial encounter against Al Ain in the AFC Champions League.
Al-Nasr is scheduled to face Al Ain in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League tomorrow evening as they seek to advance in the prestigious tournament.
The Brazilian midfielder Anderson Talisca suffered an injury during the team’s recent training sessions before departing for the UAE.
This prompted Al-Nasr’s coach, Luis Castro, to call upon Sadio Mané as a replacement.
The regulations of the AFC Champions League permit each team to include only six foreign players in their squad for the competition, provided that one of them is from an Asian country.
Alternatively, teams can field five foreign players, all from outside Asia.
